Postgraduate Studies

Hello! In this last entry of my blog I come to comment on some course I would like to take in the future.

The truth is that I would like to study some postgraduate course of Psychology in a few more years (I hope not too far).

This is because before studying Social Work, my first choice was psychology, however I think it is a more individual career and did not encompass everything I wanted at first. But I think it's a good option later on to complement what I studied.

Besides, I think it is a wonderful and interesting career. I think that since I want to work in the area of reintegration of both young people and adults in conflict with the law, it would help me a lot to help these people in one way or another. In the first place I think I would like to study at the University of Chile, but I am not closed to studying abroad under any circumstances, it is an experience I would like to live, but honestly it is not something I have thought much about yet.

The other thing is, with the experience of studying online that I had this semester I must say that I do not know if it is something that I would like to repeat, I prefer the face-to-face modality, but I am open to the possibilities due to the context, if I am working and doing more things, etc.

But to be honest, I'm not sure about this yet, my goal is to finish my current career hahaha

The job I want.

Today I Will talk to you about the job I would like to have in the future (not so far away).  Due to the curriculum of my university career, I have been able to venture into two work topics that have caught my attention. And the truth is that one of them only managed to enchant me even more and is the one I would like to work on in the future. As a social worker I would like to work with people who are deprived of their liberty. Obviously it's not a situation that allows me to work outdoors as such, but I would like to be able to work all over the country, in different regions, especially in southern Chile, which is a place I love, so that I can somehow balance working indoors with living outdoors.

I think that this is an interesting place, I think that there are many things within the prisons that are not visible and that it is important to do so, it is necessary to refute certain prejudices that exist about people deprived of their liberty that are often maintained without any foundation and only because of widespread discrimination. I did my first professional practice in a prison and was quite impressed, but in a positive way, since most (if not all) of the comments that are made about these locations are negative regarding people.

About the salary I don't have any thoughts yet, I'd just like to live well, not survive.

My favorite TV serie.

My favorite TV show is definitely Game of Thrones. There are all the seasons on HBO (that's eight seasons total). You can also watch it on other websites, but these are less secure.

It's a series about medieval drama and fantasy, inspired by the books "Song of Ice and Fire" by George R.R.Martin.

The truth is that I refused for a long time to give it a chance, it had been highly recommended but I was not convinced. But when I decided to see it, from the second chapter onwards I couldn't stop. I finished it in only a week and a half, although I must admit that the first chapter was too slow for me.

 The actors are too good, it's very easy to love some and hate others.  That's one of the reasons why you suffer a lot watching this series.

It's a series that keeps you in constant tension and it's not easy to guess what's going on, that's the good thing, it always surprises you, you always want more, that's why it becomes so addictive. In general, I prefer books to series and I decided to give them a try after eight seasons, but there are so many names that it's difficult to concentrate on reading without being able to see the faces of all the characters as they're being told.
